Dr. Olabanjo Obaleye, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank Plc - one of Nigeria’s leading national Primary Mortgage Institutions - is a seasoned and consummate banker, chartered accountant, mortgage and real estate development expert, and corporate strategist with over 20 years cognate experience in commercial and mortgage banking. He began his banking career in Afribank Nigeria Plc (now Skye Bank), in 1991, and later moved to the defunct Midas Bank and Societe Bancaire Nigeria Limited respectively, where he, at various times, worked and headed all aspects of banking operations from Tellering, Reconciliation, Clearing, Customer Service, Internal Control, Marketing to Branch Management.

In 2004, Mr. Obaleye joined Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank Plc (formerly known as Infinity Trust Savings and Loans Limited), as Acting General Manager, at a very precarious period when the bank was at the brink of collapse having received a notice from the Central Bank of Nigeria to wind down operations within 30 days due to its high negative balance sheet. Undeterred by the nearly hopeless situation he met on the ground, Mr. Obaleye immediately took the bull by the horns by developing and implementing several far-reaching “game-changers” which helped to steer the collapsing bank back to profitability within a short period. Sequel to this uncommon feat, he was promoted to the substantive MD/CEO in 2006.

Since taking over as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank, under Dr. Obaleye’s watch, has experienced unprecedented turn-around resulting in the bank being listed on the Floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2013. Subsequently, in 2014, the bank became a National Mortgage Bank. Currently, ITMB Plc has equity shareholding in the Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company (NMRC).

Dr. Obaleye who has a knack for selecting talented professionals brought on board several professionals in different fields to help achieve his vision.

This has paid off with the net assets of the Bank growing to over 6 billion naira as at 31^st December, 2020. He has run a profitable institution that has consistently increased the wealth of the investors through annual dividend payments for 14 years running.

Expectedly, Dr. Obaleye’s passion for excellence and the untiring quest for unsurpassed value-added service delivery has won accolades for him and his bank both locally and internationally. Specifically, in 2015, he was listed among top Nigerian Chief Executives in the Financial Services and Insurance Industry in the international compendium which chronicles the most influential leaders and players in the country’s financial sector. In 2020, he was awarded as the 'Most Admired Mortgage Bank of the Year' by Africa Finance Awards.

Also, the Global Credit Rating (GCR), Africa’s number one credit rating agency, affirmed Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank Plc’s BB+ credit rating with a positive outlook in the long term and A3 with a positive outlook in the short term. Similarly, In 2019, Agusto & Co. affirmed the entity and servicer ratings of Bbb+ and SR3 respectively. The rating showcases the Bank’s strong capitalization, adequate liquidity and funding profile, qualified management team, satisfactory asset quality, efficient risk management processes, succession planning at the leadership level, ample business continuity framework, sound collection, and recovery procedures as well as a strong commitment to staff development.

Dr. Olabanjo Johnson Obaleye, MD/CEO of Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank Plc holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (DBA) from Walden University, Baltimore, USA. He has an MBA with a specialization in Financial Management from the University of Abuja and BSc Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He is an alumnus of Wharton Business School, Philadelphia, USA.

Dr. Obaleye is an accomplished professional with a fellowship at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an Associate of Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). 

Dr. Obaleye serves on the boards of Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company (NMRC), Veritas Packaging, Royal Mills, and Food Limited among others. He is also a member of the Mentoring Committee, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

He has a deep belief in the possibility of shelter through an efficient and effective mortgage system anchored on proper policy and legislation that have the capacity to create a much-needed enabling environment.

Dr. Obaleye is married with 3 children. He plays golf.

Engr. Babatunde Olaleke is a graduate of Civil engineering from the University of Ilorin. He joined Adkan Services Nigeria Limited in 1996, as a Pupil Engineer. Highly professional and articulate, Engr. Olaleke, by dint of hard work and dedication to duty, rose rapidly to become the company’s Site Engineer in 1999; Manager in 2001, and General Manager in 2006. In 2007, he was appointed the Group General Manager.

Within the past 20 years, Engr. Olaleke has been instrumental to the successful execution of high profile projects such as Naval Shipyard, Port Harcourt; Vintage Estate Karu; Abuja Model City, and Sun City, Abuja.

Result oriented, positive thinker and stickler for excellence, Olaleke is a member of several renowned professional institutions including the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE).

Mr. Oyekunle Dada Ademokoya is a highly experience and versatile banker with wide range of experience in both commercial and merchant banking. For over 20 year, he held middle and top management positions in leading merchant and commercial banks before his retirement. Mr. Ademokoya is actively involved in consultancy. He is the current chairman of Bulletine Construction Company Reorganization Committee.

Major General Pennap is an accomplished Army Officer and Administrator with over 40 years of distinguished career and service to the country. He was commissioned as an Officer of the Nigeria Army in 1977, as a Second Lieutenant. Due to his outstanding leadership qualities and professionalism, Major General Pennap was appointed at various times to serve in top military positions, including the Nigeria Army Chief of Administration; Chief of Defense Research and Development, and Chief of Training and Operations.

He has Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying and a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Also, General Pennap has Master’s degrees in Defense and Strategic Studies and in Peace and Conflict Studies.

Akin Arikawe is an accomplished and multi-disciplinary technocrat whose sterling experience spans over three decades in both the public and private sectors. Prior to his retirement in 2007, he was a Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance.

Mr. Arikawe was the pioneer Director General, Debt Management Office (DMO), between 2000- 2003. He headed the Secretariat and served as the Co-coordinator of the Nigeria Vision 2020 – the nation’s Economic Transformation Blueprint. Also, Mr. Arikawe was on the Governing Board of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), from 2009 to 2011.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a Law degree from the University of Lagos, and a Barrister at Law (BL) from the Nigeria Law School.

In recognition of his distinguished and meritorious civil service career, the Federal Government, in 2006, conferred him with one of the nation’s highest National Awards –Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).

Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed is an independent Director at Infinity Trust Mortgage Plc. A retired Deputy Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), he brings on board his wealth of experience spanning over 35 years of distinguished career in banking, public service and the academia.

He began his career as an Administrative Officer in the Federal Civil Service in 1978. He later joined the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State in 1979, and rose to become Principal Lecturer and Dean, School of Business and Management. He also served as the Sole Administrator of Bida Local Government, in 1991.

Alhaji Abubakar joined the CBN in 1993, as a Senior Manager in the Human Resources Department. During his working career at the CBN, Alhaji he worked in various key departments including Banking Supervision, and the Other Financial Institutions Department (OFID) before he voluntarily retired in 2014.

He holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Administration (with specialization in Banking and Finance) from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, in 1977, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), in 1979, from the same University. Alhaji Mohammed also holds a Certificate in Curriculum Innovation in Technical Education from the Hudderfield Polytechnic, United Kingdom. He is a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management Chartered (NIM).

Mrs. Okwa Ene Iyana is an independent director who brings on board 30 years of distinguished career experience cutting across public and private sector including the academia.

A graduate of Accounting with BSc. From the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1986, she holds a master’s degree in Finance from University of Calabar Nigeria in 2003 and presently undergoing her PHD in Accounting and Finance at Nasarawa State University.

A fellow of the Chartered institute of taxation of Nigeria and Institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria. She is also an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management and holds a Certification in Internal financial reporting standards (IFRS) from the Institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria.

Mrs Okwa started her accounting career in January 1988 with the firm of Egwu Ogah & Co. (Chartered Accountants), Makurdi as Audit Trainee, thereafter she joined Tonabok Management Service in June 1988 as Training Management Consultant. In 1991 she was employed by Nicon Hilton Hotel (now Transcorp) as Assistant Financial Controller until July 2005 when she joined Visiere Consulting Services Abuja where she has worked in leading capacity as Managing Partner. In October 2012 she ventured into lecturing as lecturer 1 at Kwararafa University Wukari and in 2013 joined the Federal University, Wukar lecturing various accounting and taxation subjects at two levels and has served as student Adviser in the Department of Accounting till date.

Mrs. Okwa Ene Iyana was born January 22, 1966 in Lagos State, Nigeria. She is a native of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, married with four children.  

Mrs. Tolu Osho is a Law graduate from the University of Abuja. She also has a BL from the Nigeria Law School. She started her career at the code of Conduct Bureau in Abuja in 1998 and later worked as Associate in the firm Koya and Kuti Solicitor in Lagos till 2000.She join Adkan service in October 2002 as the Legal Officer and rose through the rank to become the company’s Group secretary.
